Explore the history and natural beauty of Lough Ree with your own personal guide on one of our Eco Boat tours operating throughout the day from Hodson Bay Pier from July to September.
Looking for an exciting day out for your group? Try our one-day Level 1 Powerboat course operating each Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5pm including a three course lunch and complimentary après course drinks.

Hodson Bay Watersports - Lough Ree Power Boat School is Ireland’s leading Motorboat, Powerboat and Marine Rescue Training Centre and is an Irish Sailing Association Recognised Teaching Establishment. The School Principal who is Ireland’s National Motorboat and Power Boat Trainer, leads a highly trained and very experienced, hand picked team of Professional Power Boat Instructors. Now, you too, can sample some of the exciting training that the Professional Rescue Boat Squads undergo at Lough Ree Power Boat School.
Our Two-Day Courses run from 10am to 5 pm each day. Students (who must be over 16) spend two days on the water learning to drive our 130 hp Super Rib "Ally Cat" under the safe guidance of our fully qualified, friendly Instructors.
What better way to spend an exhilarating two days while also exploring the natural beauty of Lough Ree, one of the largest lakes on the Shannon? We run a wide range of courses to cater from the beginner to the Professional.
