There are a total of 21 coaches in the Deccan Odyssey, of which 11 coaches are passenger cars, and 2 are presidential suite cars with all the best services in the world, such as various music channels, latest music players, attached bathrooms with options for hot and cold water, and so on. Moreover, the train comprises of a car that can be used for conferences as well as for parties, 2 dining cars, a lounge/bar car, and also a spa center car.
Passengers have the option to select from smoking and non-smoking suite cars. The train has the best facilities for its passengers, taking care of their security and other amenities through onboard generators, spare cars, telephone and Internet connections, television, newspapers and dailies, massage center, gym, etc. On boarding the train, the passengers are greeted with a bottle of wine in their respective rooms and attendants are at their regular service to take care of all their needs.
The Deccan Odyssey takes its passengers on a week long trip through some of the most exotic places of the Konkan region, including a part of Goa and northwestern Maharashtra. The tour starts on every Wednesday of the week and the train operates between the months from October to April.
